INDEPENDENCE DAY

If you have been a subscriber for a while, you know the drill. If you are new to this newsletter, my annual July missive always starts the same:

Half of 2025 is behind us. We recently celebrated our Nation's "independence." Independence is defined as "a condition of freedom from the control, influence, support, aid, or the like, of others." How do you define independence? How do you celebrate it? Is it just a day off work? Is it a fireworks display? Is it a weekend of relaxation and rest that is, as Sam Adams expressed it 250 years ago: "the tranquility of servitude?" ..or do we still value the "animated contest of freedom?"

While celebrating this month, you should do at least one thing that will help you achieve an improved stance of "independence," whether that is paying off a debt, building your personal supplies, assembling a preparedness kit, breaking a bad habit, investing in some training, or learning a new skill. Make it a family tradition. As we celebrate independence, let us be confident that we can individually be independent.

I hope you all availed yourselves of that opportunity.

JUNE CLASSES

ADC's June Classes included a precision rifle class in Northwest Ohio and a Defensive Pistol Class in Eastern Idaho.
Great seeing some support from our Ohio friends!
Pistol class was a good time in Idaho as well, we saw some great shooting in this class and worked on manipulations, including one-handed and non-dominant hand techniques.

CHANGES FOR SUPPRESSORS AND SBRs

The Trump Administration's "Big Beautiful Bill' has passed, and although suppressors and short barreled rifles were not removed from the NFA registry and registration requirements, the tax has been adjusted to $0. This is something to take advantage of in the short term, establishing that the tax can be adjusted - I foresee future, less gun-friendly administrations raising this tax price extravagantly unless we keep pushing to have these items de-regulated. That said, there are some suggestions that, since taxes must generate revenue to be constitutional, and a $0 tax generates no revenue, therefore is unconstitutional, it provides an avenue to attack the NFA further still. Keep supporting the organizations that are challenging the NFA in court like the American Suppressor Association, Gun Owners of America, etc...

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

I've saved this for the last, and it's also the reason this July newsletter is a little later than normal:
After 3 years in Idaho, it's time for the adventure to continue. Over the next few weeks, I will be relocating to the Mesa, Arizona area. This will mean a minor interruption in business for a bit. The Idaho Precision Rifle class will be canceled, but I foresee ADC getting active in Arizona very soon.

This location will put me a little closer to Badlands Tactical in Oklahoma, and I will be teaching an armorer class there this August if you are available. Los Alamos folks: I will only be about a 6 or 7 hour drive away. If someone is willing to sponsor me at the Sportsman's Club, I think an occasional class on the Pajarito Plateau is a viable option.

To my Idaho supporters, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your attendance at classes and buying Adaptive Defense Armory products over the last three years, especially those supporters over multiple classes like Chad, Colter, Dahlton, Derrick, Dustin, Taylor, and others. I hope you enjoyed your time on the range in our classes as much as I did, and I encourage you to stay in touch. I would also like to thank the board of Fremont County Sportsman's Club, it has been an absolute joy to work with you and I appreciate the use of your facility.

If any of you have friends in the Mesa, Arizona area, I would appreciate you recommending my products and services to them.

Due to the move, the next newsletter might be a little delayed, but I will let you know what's going on as soon as the dust settles. ~Mike
