LOWLIGHT CLASS
This class is coming up soon! scheduled for Saturday, October 19, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Class cost is $100 and students will need 200 rounds of practice ammo. It is also suggested you bring a few rounds of your normal carry/defensive ammo so you can experience its flash characteristics in dark conditions. Students will need a handheld flashlight capable of at least 100 lumens such as a Surefire Tactician or Streamlight Protac.

It's not too late to join us in this class, which should be an "illuminating" experience!

UPPER RECEIVER GROUPS
I spent a weekend at the Idaho Falls Gun Show recently. To be honest, the traffic was pretty light and I barely managed enough sales to pay for the tables. Our custom uppers were on display and generated a little interest, but to be honest, the Idaho Falls Gun Show crowd isn't really much of an AR-style market. This gives you some idea of the uppers I have available though. I have chrome-lined and phosphated barrels in 16 and 20 inch, and stainless nitrided barrels in 16 and 18 inch. These come with options like phosphated or nitrided bolts, GI or "RACK" charging handles, and plain muzzles, A2 "birdcage," or ADA "ROOK" flash hiders.

Give me a call or email if you are looking for a particular barrel length or other options.

18" Rifle Length "Mk12" Complete Upper - $800 (plus tax and shipping)
These uppers feature 18-inch, "premium black" medium contour, stainless steel, nitrided barrels with .223 Wylde chambers and 1-8 twist that are suitable for milspec 5.56 or commercial .223 ammunition from 55gr to 77gr weight range. These uppers are ideal for someone looking to outfit their lower with a precision upper able to reach out to 600 yards and beyond with magnified optics. If you only have a carbine but don't have long-range capabilities yet, an upper like this equipped with long-range ammunition like Mk262 is a game changer.

FRICTION
Our "Friction" product is back, now in 5ml bottle size, enough to mount several optics,
Paint it on scope rings and mounting surfaces, give it a few seconds to dry, then proceed with mounting optics in the normal fashion. Optics mounted with FRICTION will stay put on even the heaviest-recoiling rifles.
This formulation is perfect for keeping scope rings and scopes where they belong. It isn't a glue or thread-locking compound, it just increases friction without damaging metal surface finishes. Another user for this product I recently discovered is increasing bed adhesion on 3D printers.

PREPAREDNESS
Between 2023 and now, FEMA has announced over 270 emergency declarations in the US. Storms, wildfires, floods - are some of the concerns in areas where subscribers to this newsletter live. It was less than 3 years ago that I was forced to evacuate from my home in New Mexico due to the Cerro Pelado fire. A penchant for preparedness - and the kind hospitality of local friends and ADC alumni - made the temporary evacuation manageable. Providence that the fire was controlled from affecting the neighborhood made the event a minor inconvenience compared to what residents of the Southeastern US are suffering this hurricane season.
Remember you priorities in preparedness, and keep in mind the "rules of 3." You can live 3 minutes without air, 3 hours without shelter from extreme weather, 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food. These guidelines discount the presence of more hostile threats like looters.
Remember to have a plan, regardless where in the country you live, for bugging in - and bugging out. Make sure your supplies are able to be packed up in a hurry. Have a bugout bag, a get home back, and important paperwork where it can be retrieved quickly and ready to go.
Don't forget to make preparations for your pets as well - pets that get left behind during regional disasters can suffer very miserable ends. Have leashes, food, blankets, toys, and other things that will help keep pets occupied and grounded during emergencies - which will help your sanity as well.
